We are Gail Terry Grimes and Claude Whitmyer—writers, speakers and consultants to teachers, trainers, and decision makers in business, non-profit, government, healthcare and education. We are pioneers in the use of technology for meeting, teaming, and learning. Our web publications on Web-based meeting, teaming, teaching and learning are in use around the world and we have taught our unique approach to building and using online courses and online work spaces to hundreds of executives, managers teachers, trainers, and students at many of the country's biggest and smallest organizations from Apple and Hitachi to NASA and the American Hospital Association to Universidad Interamericana de Puerto Rico, Recinto de Arecibo and King Abdul-Aziz University in Jedda, Saudi Arabia.
We launched The University of the Future, LLC (aka FutureU™) in 1997 to meet the growing need for wise counsel and practical advice about the use of technology for learning and communications.
We have each written millions of words and delivered hundreds of hours of training on behalf of our clients. We co-edited the anthology In the Company of Others: Making Community in the Modern World (Tarcher/Putnam). Claude edited and contributed to Mindfulness and Meaningful Work: Explorations in Right Livelihood (Parallax Press) and co-authored (with Salli Rasberry) Running a One-Person Business (10 Speed Press).
